A little about us and how it all begin
ForeverLawn of Tampa Bay opened in 2009 with founder Chris Powell at the helm. Since then ForeverLawn of Tampa Bay has installed more than 2.5 million square feet of turf throughout the west coast of Florida. We've grown to an organization employing more than a dozen full-time employees, built an extensive and loyal customer base, donated more than 100,000 square feet for community causes, and established ourselves as the leader in our industry.
Our tagline is "Grass without limits" but when it comes to our team, we believe we are people without limits, too.
Our commitment to the communities we serve
At ForeverLawn, we strive for excellence through our guiding principles.
You not only see it in our products and installations, but in our team
members and our valued relationships with customers.
We provide products and installations that are never one-size-fits-all. Our
team works together to make sure you are getting the best solution for
your individual project.
Since 2009, ForeverLawn of Tampa Bay has been serving our community
honestly, respectfully, and consistently. To be anything less in business
and in our community is not who we are.
Our products and processes are always evolving. To be the best means
constantly challenging the status quo and looking for ways to bring new
solutions to our customers. We never let the grass grow under our feet.
Chris opened ForeverLawn of Tampa Bay in 2009 as a one-man show that quickly evolved into the growing operation it is now. Over the years, he has developed many valuable relationships and remarkable friendships in the Tampa community and believes that integrity is important in all connections. He values time with his family and enjoys traveling, surfing and almost anything that revolves around the water. He is looking forward to spending time with his grandchildren when the two of them make their grand entrances into the world in spring 2021.
Favorite ForeverLawn project: It is too difficult to choose because there have been so many incredible ones – big and small. I am most proud of being able to drive almost anywhere around Tampa Bay and see our teams’ fantastic work. My family has joked that I tend to lead spontaneous Tampa Bay Turf Tours!
Shannan has been involved with ForeverLawn of Tampa Bay in one capacity or another since 2009 but joined the staff fulltime in 2013 after careers in journalism and education. As marketing director and a member of the commercial sales team, Shannan has enjoyed the creativity and connections that come with her position. A professed outgoing introvert, Shannan enjoys reading, going to the beach (or just being anywhere around water), traveling, learning new things and, most of all, family.
Favorite ForeverLawn project: It wasn’t the installation itself that makes it my favorite but the impact it had. Many years ago we installed K9Grass at the Washington Street dog park in Channelside. Within the first, we heard so many incredible stories about the community the dog park created. Downtown residents became friends through their dogs, where before the park existed everyone just walked their dogs around the block by themselves. We even heard about a wedding between people who met at that park. I love the projects with great stories.
Kyle joined ForeverLawn of Tampa Bay full time in 2018 after an extensive career in marketing and event management. His customers will agree that Kyle is a perfect fit as our sales leader and he enjoys the opportunity to meet so many people every day. Kyle is married and has two energetic boys. The entire family loves all things related to water.
Favorite ForeverLawn project: Carrollwood Village Park. The playground, splash pad and skate park make for a great place for the family to come out and play.
Jon R. Marshall
For more than 10 years, Jon has been involved in ForeverLawn installations in various positions. He is the resident expert and has tackled almost every installation challenge possible – although he is always ready for new challenges. He lives in Valrico with his wife and two beautiful children, Ayden and Allie. “I like to travel and live life in the moment. For me, it’s all about the small things -- laughs, being spontaneous and making life-long memories. I’m all about family, love, faith & health. Everything else is just sprinkles on top!”
Favorite ForeverLawn project: It’s a tie between Carrollwood Village Park and the St. Pete Pier playground. Both were very challenging projects and both had interesting new challenges. They both turned out great, and I am very proud of my teams.
Kait has been with ForeverLawn of Tampa Bay since 2017 and is the expert who keeps our office running as smoothly as possible. Chances are good that Kait’s is the first voice customers will hear when they contact us. Kait is recently engaged (if you get a chance, congratulate her on her upcoming wedding!) and has a 6-year-old son. When she’s not in the office, she loves spending time with the two men in her life, watching movies on the couch or going to the beach.
Favorite ForeverLawn project: Carrollwood Village Park! I love the different colors used to look like water and sand. I love the fish and lily pads, the tunnels going through the mounds, and the splash pad because it’s way too hot in Florida most of the year to be outside and not be in water!
